Kingdom hearts 1 Q. ?

I've had the game since it first came out & I play it here & there. but out of all the times I play it I don't understand why in traverse town after you defeat the guard armor sora starts talking about how he'll go with Donald and goofy to the other worlds so he can hopefully find riku and kairi. but the camera goes towards Leon who starts closing his eyes whenever sits talks about his Friends. why does Leon do that ? does he know where his friends are.
