Wedding Reception Sites in Traverse City, MI?

Hi everyone! I just recently got engaged and we are planning on a wedding for next year. My fiance and entire family still live in Traverse City, but I go to school out of state, so I am trying to plan everything as early as possible and whenever I am home for breaks. I was just wondering if anyone who has gotten married in TC in the past few years has recommendations for reception sites. I have been to all of the websites listing the most common venues, but I would love opinions of actual people who have done this already. We are looking at around 125-160 guests. Unfortunately, I also have a pretty small budget in comparison to many, since both of us are still in school. So it looks like the Resort and the Opera House are out. :-( But advice on other places would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
