How long will a cancer patient live with pneumonia is fluid can not be removed from lungs?

Cancer is pressing against the lower part of his lungs and fluid can not be removed. Also, he has not been eating very much. How much longer can we expect him to live? Are we talking days, weeks or months? His spirit seems fairly strong, but body keeps getting weaker.
